If you are a non-UCSD student, attending UCSD for summer session only, you will need to manually create an ACS account. Creating an ACS account will give you a @ucsd.edu email address and a UCSD username, which gives you access to the UCSD wireless and WebCT (if you are enrolled in a WebCT class).
Before you start, you will need your student PID (example: a01234567)
Follow the steps below to manually create an ACS account.
- Visit https://sdacs.ucsd.edu/~icc/acsreg.php
- Follow the directions and submit your account request.
- Write down your username and server (e.g., sdcc17, ieng9)
Your username is automatically generated and will cut off after 8 characters.
Your email address will be <username>@ucsd.edu, where <username> is your username (e.g., firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com)
Wait for up to 24 hours for your account to be created.
You will eventually be able to log into your email account with your username by visiting: http://acs-webmail.ucsd.edu
You will also be able to log into WebCT using your newly created username.
If your password does not work, you will have to reset your password using the ACS Global Password Change Tool. Since your current password does not work, try using the option:
Change Password Using a password that only seems to work in TritonLink
Please keep in mind that when you reset your password, you should use a password that you’ve never used before at UCSD. It should also not be similar in any way to previous passwords used.
